Sound Primer Wrap Up

Picture
You just covered a LOT of information, and if you are completely new to Mandarin, you probably will not have been able to fully-digest all that information in one sitting.
These kind of the things you learn more on the job.

More than anything, you should use this sound primer as a reference.  As you progress through the Flow of Mandarin program and have more experience with Mandarin sounds, many things will start to make sense to you.  You will also have many questions and uncertainties, in which case you can refer back to this sound primer for more clarity.

Also, make sure you are reading and keeping track of the feedback you get on your SoundCloud Submissions.  There are approximately 400 possible syllables in Mandarin, but they all follow the same patterns.  Once you identify which syllables or patterns you have trouble with, you can trim many syllables to a few to focus on.  With so much detail and personalized feedback, there's no reason why you cannot be a master of all the Mandarin syllables in a few weeks time.

Once you have finished, you can get started with
Unit 1.
